Jury Verdict Against Employer Who Accessed Employee’s MySpace Page :: Delaware Employment Law Blog

with 3 comments

This blog post, originally written by my friend Molly DiBianca, is a great example of what employers “should not do” when it comes to learning more about how their employees use Social Media.

justiceThe details of the case are listed within the post, but the most important thing for employers to be aware of is that they cannot forcefully access an employee’s site without their permission nor can they coerce the employee into giving them access.

No doubt we will see many more cases like this as the usageĀ  of Social Media and Networks increase.
