The value of keeping in touch
I spent the evening yesterday getting back in touch with a number of people I have gotten to know for years through my college fraternity, Sigma Chi. We all came together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our chapter at my undergraduate alma mater, Murray State University in Murray, KY.
This event certainly had a fun component, but it also afforded me the opportunity to spend some quality time with other professionals in areas where I have proficiency and expertise, hence a chance to grow my business.
This is just one more example of the value in having a social schedule and staying in touch with people you have gotten to know. Had I not taken the time to be present last evening and today I would have never made some of the connections and re-connections I have made.
What opportunities are you taking, or passing up, to solidify or reconnect with others?
Who do you know and who are you missing the opportunity to know?
Some food for thought-enjoy your weekend!

In my opinion, socializing is the most important part in a person’s life. I don’t think that someone could live without friends or family. So yes, keep in touch with your old friends.
