Battling a headcold

with one comment

thermometer-in-mouthI know that this pales in the grand scheme of things, but I have a nagging cold.  You may say you don’t care and I would totally understand, but just hang with me for a moment.

We all take our health for granted, at least I do, until I don’t feel too healthy or well and yesterday plus today are those days of exception.  I could feel this coming on after speaking on Monday night, but there was no getting away from this “crud”.

I just finished my first webinar on Social Networks and the voice quality will be a little lacking because I felt like I couldn’t breathe for most of my presentation.  Doing webinars is taxing anyway because most of them don’t provide any feedback and there is just 40-70 minutes of non-stop talking on my part.

I trust that my over the counter meds will take care of this malady.  Colds are part of life, but they can also be such a pain.

Hope your day is a great one!

  1. Dan, I feel your pain. Recently I had this really nasty sore throat. It continually got worse so after four days I finally went to the doctor. As it turned out I had strep. What a nasty little infection to have. On top of that I got an old fashion cold. :(

What I have really learned from this experience is how much we really take good health for granted. I was lying around feeling sorry for myself when I remembered that a co-worker of my wife was getting ready to have his bi-weekly chemo treatment. He has been enduring this treatment off and on for more than two years. He has hardly missed a day of work and had a great attitude about life.

Let’s all be thankful for today and the blessings we experience.
